Sopore, Mar 28 (KNO): Locals of Krankshivan Colony in Sopore have urged the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department to macadamize the road at Alamdar locality. Aggrieved residents told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that every year lakhs of rupees are released for construction and maintenance of the road but road stretch from Krankshivan Colony Culvert - Alamdar Colony has been always ignored by the authorities concerned. The road is dotted with huge potholes and has not been repaired since long and the authorities are least bothered about the sufferings of people, residents said. “We apprised the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department a number of times for our genuine demands but all in vain as the concerned department failed to repair the road,” they said. Mudasir Ahmed, a local, said rain showers cause water logging in the area.
